Four Day Weekend

Hi Everyone!
Last weekend was a great one for the Brinks. Hans had Friday and Monday off and we filled our weekend with lots of fun stuff and relaxation. On Friday morning we took the girls bowling and they had a great time- the scores you see in the picture reflect Hans and I actually trying and failing miserably. Those girls kicked our butts! On Saturday we were fortunate to once again see our friend from Antwerp, Susan. She was in town from New Mexico and we spent a lovely lunch catching up- it was so great to see her! On Sunday we celebrated Kaya and Isabel's birthdays with the family, and as always the girls had a blast together. We also spent a bit of time at Auntie Riss and Uncle Marc's, Annelies and Elin are perfectly suited to play with Cal and Roy, those kittens were pretty tired out when we left and our girls were asleep in the car a few minutes after departure! Monday was a lazy day at home that we all enjoyed. We hope that all is well in your corner of the world!

I went in one night to check on them before going to sleep and found them like this!

Annelies' Photos

Finally Well!

The Brinks have been battling some winter colds/flus/strep infections and (knock on wood) it looks like we are finally coming through it all! It has been quite the 3 week span of aggravation. We are looking forward to having a relatively normal week back. Annelies will go to story time on Monday and hopefully we'll have some playdates. Other than the illnesses the girls are doing fantastic! Elin is talking up a storm- this morning she informed Hans and I that "Olijfje has to get down because it's too dangerous." She had jumped up onto our dresser. Too funny! She is also making big steps towards potty training- she uses the toilet once or twice a day and is excited to soon be wearing underwear and pull-ups like her big sister. Annelies is thrilled that we have signed her up for school- she doesn't start until September, but would go tomorrow if we let her! Hans and I are both doing well, not too much new to report. We hope that all is well in your corner of the world!
