O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
Hi Everyone, This past Wednesday the girls enjoyed decorating the tree, although I'm pretty sure that the popcorn was a bigger hit! The girls in the household were hit with a pretty big cold, so the week was a pretty low key one, just trying to keep noses wiped was challenge enough. Hope all is well in your corner of the world!

Hi all,
I'm trying to get back into the rhythm of updating, so here are two new slideshows to enjoy... November was a fun month playing with friends, enjoying Thanksgiving and even making a quick trip to Montreal for a birthday party! Yesterday we celebrated Sinterklaas- this year Annelies was so excited to learn all the songs and watch the Sinterklaasjournaal online to follow the goings on of Sinterklaas and the Pieten. They could barely contain their excitement yesterday and luckily de Sint came through, depositing a bag of treats on the deck, it was just too bad that we didn't see him- maybe next year!
We are all doing well, Elin is talking up a storm these days and is quite eager to try out new words and tell you all about what's going on. Annelies amazes me each day- she's just becoming so "old"- it's fun to watch her become her own little person.

The past four months in a nutshell...
or in 7 albums of pics...
Hi all! Can't believe we've been so slack with our blog, I guess a lot's been going on! July brought us Riss and Marc's wedding, and if that wasn't enough to celebrate, we bought our first house! I know Hans posted a video tour a while back, but there are a few more pics in the Our House album. August brought Nana and Grandpa back to Green Harbor- and the girls had a blast at the beach! At the end of the month Opa and Oma came from Antwerp for a great visit, you can see pics of us at the zoo and the Norris Reservation. Throughout the month we also got to catch up with the Smiths who were in town for a nice long visit- a good time was had by all. We've been enjoying the fall months, getting settled into our home and even managed to get out to Red Apple Farm for some apple and pumpkin picking. We are all hopefully getting over some early season colds and on Wednesday we are heading out to San Diego! We'll be spending 2 days there before heading up to Temecula to celebrate Craig and Amanda's wedding with the whole family! It should be a great little trip and we are looking forward to getting away for a few days! We hope that all is well in your corner of the world!

Annelies is 3!
Happy Birthday Annelies! We had a fantastic weekend, celebrating with friends and family. Two parties in 24 hours! A great time was had by all. Plans for today include story time at the library and a picnic lunch at the playground. Then we've got to get learning how to pedal that new bike...

End of June
Hi Everyone, We had a good and busy week. The girls had their final swim lesson, we went to music, visited with friends and went to a concert on Thursday night with a picnic supper. At the end of a long week Hans let off some steam by giving free pony rides around the living room. Hope all is well in your corner of the world!

Hello everyone, Wishing all the papas out there a very happy Father's Day. The girls and I plan on making papa a special breakfast and then we'll visit with Grandpa in Hanover. It's Good To Be 30
Many thanks to all for the well-wishes I received on the big day. In the morning the crew made pannekoeken for breakfast- then came the surprise revelation that Hans and I would actually get away for the weekend (our first vacation without the girls in 3 years!) Many thanks to Nana and Grandpa who made it all possible! The girls were in excellent hands and did quite well without us :) We were definitely glad to get back to them, but in the meantime we enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner, the scenery of the White Mountains, yummy breakfasts at our inn, time to read and hang out, 2 uninterrupted nights of sleep and even a round of mini golf! What more could I have asked for? It was a fantastic way to spend this milestone.

Memorial Day Weekend
Hi all, In this slideshow you'll see that we spent some time with the Flannery Family over the holiday- getting nice and messy at the park, watching the Watertown parade and then cooking out at their place. We also managed to squeeze in a trip to the beach- complete with rainbow!
