Long Overdue
Hi Everyone, I know this update is a long time coming- there really is no excuse...
Things here are going really well. Hans has started his 3rd week in a new job and it is going really well. He likes things so far and is excited about the technologies he's working with and the opportunity to learn a lot of new things. I like this job so far, too- he's home every night by 6:30- a far cry from the VERY long days he was pulling before. It's been nice to have some family time at the end of the day.
It feels like the girls are growing by the second. Elin is already 3 1/2 months old and is really becoming aware of everything around her. She loves to watch Annelies play and is all smiles for her big sister. Annelies is adding new words to her vocabulary daily- in English and in Dutch- very exciting. She has also started to really test the limits and wants to do everything herself. This makes any activity twice as long as the days when we could just do things for her and get away with it.
We hope that you are enjoying the summer and that all is well in your corner of the world!

4th of July Weekend
We cooked out in Hanover on the 3rd and hung out with Nana and Grandpa on the 4th. Here Elin's getting in a nap before we head to another cookout with friends. Annelies had a great time hanging out with Zahra and Ella. We almost made it to the fireworks, but wimped out and headed home. From here we could see them through the trees, though- pretty cool, but caught most of the show on tv.

A Visit to Maine
We went to see Isabel and Kaya during Hans' time off. Annelies loved playing with her cousins. Two things from that trip have come up for us again this week- Annelies was singing "ashes, ashes, we all fall down" today- which she learned from Isabel; and I was inspired by their beautiful gardens to plant a few things for our own little balcony yesterday!
