Memorial Day Weekend

Annelies had her first taste of the beach over the holiday weekend. She enjoyed putting her hands in the sand and putting rocks in her mouth. She was in awe of the ocean; she wanted to be looking at it, but was clinging to papa at the same time! On Monday she went to her first parade (not a fan of the loud fire trucks!). We went into Boston for the afternoon and had lunch at Wagamama-it opened here about a month ago :) All in all it was a nice relaxing weekend. Annelies continues to jet around the apartment and her bottom two teeth have finally poked through- she's keeping us busy! Hope all is well in your corner of the world.

This weekend we were witness to yet more amazing Annelies moments. She appears to have the idea that moving is far preferable to sitting in one place- and now she can get somewhere more directly! She's not doing any marathons yet, but if she sees something she wants she goes right for it. It's simply amazing to watch her- and to think about how much she's changed in just a few short months is mind boggling! Enjoy the pictures below!

Middle of May

Hi Everyone! It's hard to believe that Annelies is 7 and 1/2 months old...time is marching on. She is doing really well and we're having tons of fun watching her grow. She is quite mobile now, not exactly crawling, but scooting around, rolling around, sitting up by herself, pulling her self to standing on occasion...it's amazing! She is eating more now, too: sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, pears, apples, peas, avocado, cheerios & small pieces of bread and bagel. She has figured out how to clap and spends a good part of the day clapping, then looking to whoever's around for them to clap as well- very cute. An Afternoon with Nana

Nana came to visit today and took me for a walk (I was asleep two driveways down the street, though and nana was upset that we didn't get to play at the park!) Later on we went for lunch at Stone Hearth Pizza-- yum! and got ice cream, Nana wanted to give me some, but mom wouldn't let her! I'll have to get Nana alone for some of that :) All in all it was a great day out in this nice weather.

Mt. Auburn Outing

It was a lovely day here in Watertown so Annelies, Marissa and I went to the Mount Auburn Cemetery- a national Historic Landmark (it was the first garden cemetery in North America). It was a beautiful spot, one I'm sure we'll return to soon. Wishing everyone a happy weekend!
